Perhaps, you have see all of the movies featuring George Clooney and Brad Pitt, but you most love their film Ocean’s Eleven. Set in the wild, luxurious city of Las Vegas, eleven men attempt to crack the security systems of three Las Vegas casinos. Of course, the love story between George Clooney’s character and Julia Robert’s character adds to the suspense of the casino heist. While this movie was a fictional story about casinos, many casinos have some of the same elaborate measures for protecting the casino’s winnings. And it all begins with construction.

First, the casino owner has to decide whether to place his vault above ground or below ground. A smaller casino may not have yet acquired the resources for an underground vault; however, your major casinos will have several underground vaults. An underground vault protects the casino’s earnings from natural disaster and theft. Since the way to get to the vault is hard, many people do not attempt to rob the underground vaults. This is a good thing. You can feel secure that the casino has the money stored safely when you win big.

Secondly, the casino owner needs to plan out the floor plans of the casino. Since he wants to keep people inside the casino playing, he will have a large grand entrance and a maze of gaming tables, slot machines, and endless dining options. Many casinos also double as hotels so when you have finished playing your favorite games then you can go crash on your bed for a few hours. This is all a part of the plan. A well-designed casino keeps you playing and keeps your winnings safe.
